Here is an example of work-in-progress inspired by the classic sculpture modeled after "the Victoria" that I visited in the Louvre during one of my trips to Paris.  The sculpture serves as reference point for my oil on canvas. I actually like painting in the frame because it allows me to see exactly how the entire composition will look when it is exhibited.  It was also done in my own style and captures the dynamic energy and force of the subject matter and I already said what I had to say.  So I will just make final touch ups before calling it complete.
